Creative Thinking - Best Story
Once upon a time, a merchant named Sam owed a huge sum of money to Tom, a money lender. The time came when the merchant ran out of the last chance given to him to give the money back.
Sam had a beautiful daughter who was very affectionate with her father. Tom asked the merchant to give all the money back failing which he will marry his beautiful daughter.
Tom was not at all good-looking and ill-minded and so the merchant was in dilemma. Tom proposed a new condition. There was a mix of black and white pebbles on the ground where they were standing. He will take two pebbles on both hands, one will be white and the other will be black.
If the daughter correctly chooses the white pebble, then Tom will write off all the debt and leave the marriage proposal too. But if she chooses the black pebble, he will write off the debt but will marry the daughter.
Tom went down to pick the pebbles from the ground and the daughter noticed that he took black pebbles on both hands. The girl had three choices- to notify the same her father which may provoke Tom, take the black pebble and sacrifice her life or simply refuse to take the pebble which might land her father into trouble. But what she did totally surprise Tom.
She took the pebble from his hand and ‘accidentally’ the pebble fell off from her hand to the ground. She then asked Tom to see which color pebble was left in his hand to identify the color she picked. Tom had no other choice but to show the black color pebble in his hand and set both of them free.
Moral: Sometimes, life offers you situations that not only demand hard work and perseverance but some creative thinking which saves the situation.
लीक से हटकर विचार करना - एक सुन्दर कहानी
एक बार, सैम नाम के एक व्यापारी ने टॉम को एक पैसा उधार देने वाले को बड़ी रकम दी। वह समय आया जब व्यापारी पैसा वापस देने के लिए दिए गए आखिरी मौके से भाग गया। सैम की एक खूबसूरत बेटी थी जो अपने पिता से बहुत प्यार करती थी। टॉम ने कहा जो वह पैसा देने में विफल रहा तो वह व्यापारी की खूबसूरत बेटी से शादी कर लेगा।
टॉम अच्छा नहीं था, उसका व्यव्हार बहुत बुरा था इसलिए व्यापारी दुविधा में था। टॉम ने एक नई शर्त प्रस्तावित की। जहाँ वे खड़े थे वहाँ जमीन पर काले और सफेद कंकड़ का मिश्रण था। वह दोनों हाथों पर दो कंकड़ लेगा, एक सफेद होगा और दूसरा काला होगा।
यदि बेटी सही ढंग से सफेद कंकड़ चुनती है, तो टॉम सभी ऋण को माफ़ देगा और शादी का प्रस्ताव भी छोड़ देगा। लेकिन अगर वह काली कंकड़ चुनती है, तो वह कर्ज उतार देगा लेकिन बेटी से शादी कर लेगा।
टॉम जमीन से कंकड़ निकालने के लिए नीचे झुका और बेटी ने देखा कि उसने दोनों हाथों पर काले कंकड़ ले रखे हैं। लड़की के पास तीन विकल्प थे- अपने पिता ( सैम ) को वही सूचित करना, जो की टॉम को उकसा सकता है, और टॉम गुस्से में ज्यादा पैसा मांग सकता है या कुछ और शर्त रख सकता है, या वह काले कंकड़ चुन के अपने जीवन का बलिदान दे सकती है और उसके पिता का कर्ज माफ़ हो जायेगा, या बस उस कंकड़ की शर्त को मना कर सकती है जो उसके पिता को मुसीबत में डाल सकता है। लेकिन उसने टॉम को पूरी तरह से हैरान कर दिया।
उसने टॉम से एक कंकड़ अपने हाथ में लिया और जान बुझ कर कंकड़ गिरा दी, फिर वह टॉम से पूछी की वह देखी नहीं की अपने हाथ में कौन से रंग का कंकड़ ली थी इसीलिए टॉम से बोली की वह अपने हाथ का कंकड़ दिखाए तो साफ साफ पता चल जायेगा की किस रंग का कंकड़ उसके हाथ में आया। और अब टॉम के पास अपने हाथ में काले रंग का कंकड़ दिखाने के अलावा और कोई चारा नहीं था।
नैतिक: कभी-कभी, जीवन आपको ऐसी परिस्थितियां प्रदान करता है जो न केवल कड़ी मेहनत और दृढ़ता की मांग करती है बल्कि कुछ रचनात्मक सोच भी होती है जो स्थिति को बचाती है।
