Peace of Mind
There was a poor man. He would go to his guru's ashram every day and do cleanliness there and then go to his work. Often he would tell his guru that if you bless me, then a lot of wealth comes to me.
One day the Guru asked why you came to work in the ashram ?. He said my aim is that a lot of money comes to me, that is why I come to see you and in hope that you will give a boon to me for lots of money. I am very poor and put things on the track and sell them.
Don't know when my happy days will come. The Guru said that you do not worry. When the opportunity comes in front of you, your all wish will become true. Simply, the opportunity will open silently in front of you. The young man left. Time retracted, he started earning more money and he was so busy that he had to go to the ashram, and he forgets to go to the ashram for a few years.
After many years, he reached the ashram one morning and started cleaning. The Guru asked with great surprise - what is the matter, you have come after so many years, and I have heard that you have become a very great businessman and earned lots of money. The person said - I earned a lot of money. did Weddings of children in good homes, there is no shortage of money, but there is no peace in the heart. It seemed that I would come to serve every day, but could not come.
Guruji, you gave me everything but did not give me life's rest. The Guru said that when did you ask for that? You have got what you asked for, have you not? Then what have you come here today? Tears welled up in his eyes, fell at the Guru's feet, and said - I will no longer serve to ask for anything. Just find peace in the heart. Guru said- First decide that now you will not serve the ashram to ask for something, just come for peace of mind.
The Guru explained that no matter what you get by asking, we never get rest from our heart, so do not ask for anything in return for service. That person looked very sad and kept looking at the Guru and said - I don't want anything. You just let me serve. In truth, peace of mind is most precious.
मन की शांति सबसे अनमोल है
एक गरीब आदमी था। वह हर रोज अपने गुरु के आश्रम जाकर वहां साफ-सफाई करता और फिर अपने काम पर चला जाता था। अक्सर वो अपने गुरु से कहता कि आप मुझे आशीर्वाद दीजिए ताकि मेरे पास ढेर सारा धन-दौलत आ जाए।
एक दिन गुरु ने पूछ ही लिया कि क्या तुम आश्रम में इसीलिए काम करने आते हो। उसने पूरी ईमानदारी से कहा कि हां, मेरा उद्देश्य तो यही है कि मेरे पास ढ़ेर सारा धन आ जाए, इसीलिए तो आपके दर्शन करने आता हूं। मै पटरी पर सामान लगाकर बेचता हूं। पता नहीं, मेरे सुख के दिन कब आएंगे। गुरु ने कहा कि तुम चिंता मत करो। जब तुम्हारे सामने अवसर आएगा तब ऊपर वाला तुम्हें आवाज थोड़ी लगाएगा। बस, चुपचाप तुम्हारे सामने अवसर खोलता जाएगा। युवक चला गया। समय ने पलटा खाया, वो अधिक धन कमाने लगा। इतना व्यस्त हो गया कि आश्रम में जाना ही छूट गया।
कई वर्षों बाद वह एक दिन सुबह ही आश्रम पहुंचा और साफ-सफाई करने लगा। गुरु ने बड़े ही आश्चर्य से पूछा- क्या बात है, इतने बरसों बाद आए हो, सुना है बहुत बड़े सेठ बन गए हो। वो व्यक्ति बोला- बहुत धन कमाया। अच्छे घरों में बच्चों की शादियां की, पैसे की कोई कमी नहीं है पर दिल में चैन नहीं है। ऐसा लगता था रोज सेवा करने आता रहूं पर आ ना सका।
गुरुजी, आपने मुझे सब कुछ दिया पर जिंदगी का चैन नहीं दिया। गुरु ने कहा कि तुमने वह मांगा ही कब था? जो तुमने मांगा वो तो तुम्हें मिल गया ना। फिर आज यहां क्या करने आए हो ? उसकी आंखों में आंसू भर आए, गुरु के चरणों में गिर पड़ा और बोला- अब कुछ मांगने के लिए सेवा नहीं करूंगा। बस दिल को शान्ति मिल जाए। गुरु ने कहा- पहले तय कर लो कि अब कुछ मांगने के लिए आश्रम की सेवा नहीं करोगे, बस मन की शांति के लिए ही आओगे।
गुरु ने समझाया कि चाहे मांगने से कुछ भी मिल जाए पर दिल का चैन कभी नहीं मिलता इसलिए सेवा के बदले कुछ मांगना नहीं है। वो व्यक्ति बड़ा ही उदास होकर गुरु को देखता रहा और बोला- मुझे कुछ नहीं चाहिए। आप बस, मुझे सेवा करने दीजिए। सच में, मन की शांति सबसे अनमोल है।
