He is the founder of amazon.com. Jeff Bezos was born in Albuquerque New Mexico United States on January 12, 1964, his biological father's name was Ted Jorgensen, and his mother's name was Jacqueline. Jorgensen his mother divorced, his father married Miguel Bezos, after marriage, Miguel Bezos legally adopted Jeff from the family then moved to Houston Texas.
Education:
Jeff Bezos was attended River Oaks Elementary School in Houston from fourth to sixth grade and then he attended Miami Palmetto Senior High School. Jeff Bezos also attended the student science training program at the University of Florida and received a silver Knight award in 1982. He graduated as a high school valedictorian in 1982. Jeff Bezos entered Princeton University where he studied computers. In June 1984 he took a summer job as a programmer in Norway.
He served as the president of Princeton students for the exploration and development of space in 1986. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science and electrical engineering and computer science in 1990. Jeff Bezos joined David Elliot Shaw and company in New York he became the youngest vice president there his career in finance was extremely lucrative but he decided to quit after four years in 1995.
Professional Life:
Jeff Bezos founded amazon.com an online bookstore in 1997, the company went public in 1998. It started offering CDs and videos and in 2002, it also included clothes in its portfolio 2003. Amazon formed a nine commercial search engine focusing on e-commerce websites. Jeff Bezos also launched an online sporting goods store that offered up to 3,000 different brands in 2004.
He founded Blue Origin an aerospace company that is developing technologies to offer space travel to customers kept a secret until the land was purchased to build a launch and test facility in the year 2007.
Amazon introduces a handheld electronic reading device the Kindle in 2010. Amazon signed a deal with the Wylie agency who gave Amazon the digital rights to works of authors competing with Apple, iPad. Introduced Kindle Fire a color touchscreen mini tablet computer. Jeff Bezos launched Amazon Studios apart from Amazon local Living Social and Amazon Web Services.
Amazon plans to present the television programs through an online video service on August 5th 2013. Jeff Bezos announced his purchase of The Washington Post for 250 million dollars in cash in December 2013.
Jeff Bezos revealed an experimental initiative called Amazon Prime air that uses drones capable of carrying weight up to 5 pounds and traveling 10 miles to provide delivery services to customers this innovator funded an expedition that recovered two powerful Saturn V first-stage f1 rocket engines from the Atlantic Ocean identified as belonging to the Apollo 11 missions July 2013 in 2012.
He donated to Amazon's political action committee which has given fifty-six thousand dollars and seventy-four thousand five hundred dollars to Democrats and Republicans after the 2016 presidential election. Jeff Bezos was invited to join Donald Trump's defense innovation board but he declined the offer on march ninth 2018.
Jeff Bezos married McKenzie in 1993, they have four children Vito's was awarded an honorary doctorate in science and technology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 the following year he was named Business Person of the Year by fortune Harvard Business Review ranked him the second-best CEO in the world.

Jeff Bezos received his first major award in 1999 when Time named him Person of the Year. In 2008, Jeff Bezos was selected by U.S. News & World Report as one of America's best leaders. Jeff Bezos was awarded in 2008 an honorary doctorate in science and technology from Carnegie Mellon University. In 2011, The Economist gave Bezos and Gregg Zehr an Innovation Award for the Amazon Kindle. Jeff Bezos was named Businessperson of the Year by Fortune in 2012.
He is also a member of the Bilderberg Group and attended the 2011 Bilderberg conference in St. Moritz, Switzerland, and the 2013 conference in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He was a member of the Executive Committee of The Business Council for 2011 and 2012.
Jeff Bezos was ranked the best-performing CEO in the world by Harvard Business Review in 2014-2018. He has also figured in Fortune's list of 50 great leaders of the world for three straight years, topping the list in 2015. Jeff Bezos received a $250,000 prize for winning the Heinlein Prize for Advances in Space Commercialization in Sep 2016, which he donated to the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space.
Jeff Bezos was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for "leadership and innovation in space exploration in Feb 2018, autonomous systems, and building a commercial pathway for human space flight". In March 2018, at the Explorers Club annual dinner, he was awarded the Buzz Aldrin Space Exploration Award in recognition of his work with Blue Origin.
He received Germany's 2018 Axel Springer Award for Business Innovation and Social Responsibility. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world on five separate occasions between 2008 and 2018.
