Meditation is a practice by which practitioner achieves all dimensions of mind body and soul. Individual may be oriented to achieve calm, peace, release anxiety, self realization, love and kindness for other, breathing exercises etc.
There are different techniques in meditation like, Mindfulness, transcendental meditation, Breathing exercises meditation, Kundalini yoga meditation, Zen Meditation, Love kindness meditation, Body scan progressive meditation, Guided meditation, Vipassana
Mindfulness.
Sit comfortably, relax your body, focus on breathing, breath normally, just be with the flow. In this meditation it is imperative to be in present. Mindfulness meditation is just maintaining awareness in present moment, it could be awareness of thought, awareness of feelings, awareness of body sensation, awareness of present environment.
Transcendental meditation.
Transcendental meditation is based on silent recital of mantras. In this meditation sit comfortably in any posture, relax your body, and recite any mantra in your mind. Numerous thought will distract you again and again, try to focus on recitation of mantra.
Breathing Exercise Meditation.
Sit comfortably focus on your breath, take deep breath by closing your nostrils one by one. You can hold your breath for few seconds and then release all your anxiety through your breath.
Kundalini Yoga Meditation.
This meditation basically based on Kundalini yoga. In which individual is focused on his chakras ( energy sources) of body. Individual achieves all dimensions of respective chakras from bottom to up .
Zen Meditation.
Zen meditation primarily practiced by Zen Buddhist. Main aim of this meditation is to regulate your attention.
Love Kindness Meditation
This meditation technique is used to increase the benevolence, friendliness, good will, kindness and love in others. Repetitive affirmations and visualization techniques used.
Body Scan Meditation.
Sit comfortably, relax your body, breath normally focusing on your body parts from bottom to top, pay attention to your body part, talk to that part, release tension of that body part.
Guided Meditation
In this technique practitioner will practice in presence of experienced person or through audio or video recording. Just follow the guidance and we with the flow.
Vipassana.
Vipassana means seeing, seeing the yourself through the help of body and mind. It's a way of self observation.

Reduces stress. Stress reduction is one of common benefits of meditation. It helps to release your anxiety. Helps to balance your emotions, enhances self awareness. Improves your personality, concentration. It changes your perspective of seeing this world.
